Pre-registration Educational Course

 

 Pre-registration educational course under regulation 5(b) of the IBBI (Insolvency Professionals) Regulations, 2016

The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) has introduced a Pre- Registration Educational Course under Regulation 5(b) of the IBBI (Insolvency Professionals) (Amendment) Regulations, 2018.

 In terms of the IBBI (Insolvency Professionals) Regulations, 2016, an individual is eligible for registration as an insolvency professional, subject to meeting other requirements, if he has completed a pre-registration educational course, as may be required by the Board, from an insolvency professional agency (IPA) after his enrolment as a professional member.

 As per the regulation with effect from 1stApril 2018, individuals are eligible to register themselves as Insolvency Professionals (IP) only after undergoing the mandatory 50 hours Pre- Registration Educational Course (hereinafter referred to as ‘Course’) from an Insolvency Professional Agency (IPA) after his enrolment as a Member.

The Pre-Registration Educational Course is conducted by expert faculties who would share their varied advice and experience. The Course enhance the knowledge base; sharpen the management skills with efficiency in advocacy, code of conduct and handling insolvency effectively.
