Webinar on Fees & Expenses for Insolvency Professionals
The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), 2016 provides a legislative framework for the Resolution of the Stressed Assets. The code provides the basis for conducting Insolvency and Liquidation proceedings in a time bound manner in order to maximise the value of assets, to promote entrepreneurship, ensure availability of credit and balance the interests of all the stakeholders. The Government along with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) is actively monitoring the implementation of the IBC and making amendments wherever and whenever necessary.
On12th June, 2018, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) issued a Circular on Fees & Expenses under IBC to provide a reference frame for the charging of fees and claiming of expenses which would be fair to all stakeholders and improve resolution outcomes.
In order to provide clarity on the means and method of achieving the objectives enunciated in the circular Indian Institute of Insolvency Professionals of ICAI (IIIPI) alongwith ISCI IIP and IPA ICAI (Cost) is conducting a Two hour Webinar on Fees and Expenses based on Circular dated 12th June 2018, on 14th September 2018 (Friday) at 02:30 PM for the Insolvency Professionals. The Webinar is being held under the aegis of the IBBI and will be addressed by Dr. M. S. Sahoo, Chairman IBBI, Dr. Navrang Saini*, WTM, IBBI and Dr. (Ms.) Mamta Suri, Executive Director, IBBI among others.
